Thyroid disorders can cause infertility in men too!
The butterfly shaped thyroid gland is the master controller present in the neck. It has a significant role in the growth and development of the body. Also, effective treatment for hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism in many cases have enabled regaining fertility. A complete thyroid panel testing is usually recommended for diagnosis of unexplained infertility that includes testing of following parameters:
Blood level of TSH (Thyroid stimulating hormone), Free and total T3 (Triiodothyronine), Free and total T4 (Thyroxine)
